Description

Heres the deal . . . Ive been doing leather work for about 10 years (wallets, purses, guitar straps, etc.). Someone recently asked about leather seat covers for motorcycle seat pans, and that got me interested.

So, I want to give it a try, but I need to find some folks that would let me make a cover for them for a fair price. My prices for custom work start at $250.00 (Do an internet search and see if thats fair for a custom, handmade leather seat cover. Check e bay and other places.) For the first 5 guinea pigs, I offer a discount of $50.00. So, $200.00 for a custom-made seat cover is not a bad way to go.

Whats involved? You supply the seat pan and idea. Well develop the design together. When were ready to proceed, Ill ask for 1/2 down (to cover parts and supplies), with the remainder of the balance due upon completion of the work. Ill obviously need to hang onto your seat pan until the work is completed. I also highly recommend that the bottom portion of the cover be riveted to the pan, so holes would need to be drilled into the pan for rivets. (Why rivets? Glue holds well, and lacing/saddle-stitching holds well. However, it would not be cool for the seat cover to somehow come flying off the bike, at an uncomfortable landing speed, with your seat still attached to it. So, I prefer rivets for safety.) Turn-around time on the work? Usually 2-3 weeks, depending on what other projects are in line ahead of you.

I have of previous projects available via email.

If I can make something for you, give me a holler.
